Power Boy

In the 30th century, Jedediah Rikane was a student in the Legion Academy, a training program developed and financed by the United Planets super-team - the  Legion of Super-Heroes, based on Earth. Jed was born with control over his body's density, an ability that gives him super-strength, partial invulnerability, and purple skin. He remained at the Academy for many years, taking part in several training missions and waiting patiently for a chance to tryout for the Legion of Super-Heroes. After being rejected for membership he later became an instructor in the United Planets Militia Academy on Xolnar where eventually he was killed by a Khund warrior commando while defending its pluridium mines. Jed was born a mutant with particular control over his body's density which as he gains mass his physical attributes increase dynamically. This mass altering property to his powers causes a few specific effects including the ability of superhuman strength, a moderate amount of invulnerability, and a purple skin tone. The increase in his mass also changes his physical appearance causing Jed to have a massively muscled body and a stocky appearance.

When I found out this character was gay I was shocked. For the record I'm straight all thou I'm not homophobic. If I decided to draw all legionnaires I realized I was gonna have to draw the gay characters too. What Legionnaire should I draw next?

Princess Projectra

That's right girl, talk to the hand! 

Created by Jim Shooter, she first appeared in Adventure Comics #346 (July 1966).

Projectra is a member of the royal family of the low-tech planet Orando, and possesses the superhuman ability to generate illusions affecting all five senses. During her membership in the LSH, she met, fell in love with, and married the martial artist Karate Kid. After her father King Voxv died, she fought her cousin Pharoxx and her mentor Hagga, who sought to usurp the throne. Afterward she became Queen Projectra of Orando, and she and Karate Kid became reserve members of the Legion of Super-Heroes. When the Legion of Super-Villains invaded Orando, Nemesis Kid defeated Karate Kid in personal combat and killed him. Projectra subsequently killed Nemesis Kid in revenge, claiming royal privilege to do so even though it violated the Legion's code against killing. She resigned from the Legion of Super-Heroes during Karate Kid's funeral and used the Legion of Super-Villains' warp devices to take Orando to another dimension to preserve them from 30th century technology and dangers. I'm not even going to mention the post Zero hour Reboot or the Threeboot or the Post Infinity Crisis. 

All thou I may take a crack at Sensor Girl one day. The BG was done by Aigik, I modified it a little.

I was amazed by a Legion fan who contacted me in regards of my previous post and share some extra info about the character. Thanks to that I updated Crystal Kid's post. It's good to know some people actually take their time to read my posts. "Excelsior"

I realized the Legion fans are a Legion of their own, I didn't know they were so many. It feels good to know I'm not alone!

Crystal Kid

Let's be crystal clear, I like exploring new concepts, to actually come up with new ideas and create. That's the fun part along with my freedom. I would love to make every fan happy with my "personal" adaptation of this characters, but unfortunately that is a little unrealistic. 

I found this BG in google, under "ice cave" and painted the crystals to match Crystal Kid.

The character, Bobb Kohan was a young boy on a family picnic on a glories summer day when puberty kicked in. Bobb's mutant power to create crystal or transmute other objects into crystal surfaced... turning his grandfather into a statue of crystal.  When he became old enough he went straight  to enjoy the camaraderie of other super-powered youths and have a shot at the Legion of Super-Heroes membership as the Crystal Kid.  Crystal Kid, along with Lamprey and Nightwind trained with Wildfire.  After Wildfire trounced them in a sparring match, he confided in the three his true tragic past.  A past he had not shared with other members of the Legion.  Crystal Kid's confidence was boosted, and he, along with Nightwind and Lamprey decided not to give up trying to join the Legion. Bobb was always willing to learn, but also too quick to action, a trait that has gotten him into more trouble than it ever got him out of.  However this same thirst to learn drove him into the Legion Academy, here as a student he would hone all the skills needed to become a true hero. While concentrating, Crystal Kid can create constructs made of crystal.  He can use this in a variety of ways, offensively or defensively.  However, these constructs quickly disappear if his concentration wavers.

Between the end of The Magic Wars (Legion Vol 3, #63) and the grim Giffen version (Legion Vol 4, #1), there was a five-year gap during which a so-called crisis called Black Dawn occurred, resulting in the disbanding of the Legion. During this period, many new Legionnaires joined up, including Crystal Kid.

Founding Members

On this piece I re-touched part of my previous Legion artwork and made it into a new one, I'm doing my best to be economical about my free time for this Blog. I was also experimenting to see how would my characters look together. 

I redesign their outfits so they somewhat match the animated TV show version and they are from the same universe continuity. Saturn Girl looks different from my original the most, I kind of re-drew her a lot. I was wondering what would she look like in the animated style but with a giant pony tail.

Same BG I used for Ultra Boy,  I think it was made by Andree Wallin. I changed a few things, many things actually. I added a lot more elements to make it look different and match my characters. 

The original Legion of Super Heroes first appears in Adventure Comics #247 (April 1958), and was created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino. Initially, the team was closely associated with the original Superboy (Superman when he was a teenager), and was first portrayed as a group of time travelers who frequently visited him,  Lightning Boy, Saturn Girl, and Cosmic Boy. In later years, the Legion's origin and back story were fleshed out, and the group was given prominence on par with Superboy's in a monthly comic.

Night Girl

Night Girl real name Lydda Jath is a member of the Legion of Substitute Heroes, and of the most recent incarnation of the Legion of Super-Heroes. She first appeared in Adventure Comics #306 (March 1963). Night Girl is a native of the planet Kathoon, a world which is in perpetual darkness, heated by an internal power source. Lydda has super strength, given to her by her scientist father, but only at night or in deep shadow. Her powers were negated by the presence of ultra-violet energy. Killing (or at least heavily injuring) creatures made of tangible shadow seemingly allows her to temporarily absorb their essence into herself and convert it into super strength. Since her super powers are often unavailable, she has trained extensively and is a very capable hand-to-hand combatant.

For this outfit I chose to mix some of her original ones and come up with a new one. I'm not following any continuity or any particular costume. I like designing new stuff, you know. I was inspired by Benicio da Fonseca's art on her face.
I didn't paint the background, I went over it. It's called  City of the night by Colin Geller. He is a great artist. It seemed like the perfect BG for her.
I hope someone actually reads this post before they go bananas on criticism or complement me on what a great job I did on painting this background, lol.

GL Rond Vidar

And one for the Legion homies. After reading some Legion fans comments at the Bits of Legionnaire Business page in facebook on some of my art, I realized most people never read my posts here in my art blog. So I felt compelled to do something about it for just this one time. Seriously, if I had to do every Legionnaire in every costume there was for each character, I would never finish trying to draw them all in my lifetime. Besides it would be like finding a needle in a haystack if I had to make everyone happy, that's nearly impossible. I usually give a brief comment in most of my posts on why I did something to that particular character. That would explain the mind frame behind my personal creative choices. Besides I always give the background artist the deserved credit. For the most part I paint over a pre-existent background modifying it to fit my character better. I found this BG in a wall paper website ( www.paqoo.com ), it's the Crown Nebula. If I had to paint every single background from scratch it would take me a looong time and this purely for fun and none profitable daily job would not be possible in the timely manner that it is. That's the best part of fan art, freedom. Generally I change one thing or another and come up with something new. Since I am a character designer I enjoy coming up with new ideas. Sometimes I like the original design and some other times I like blending my personal preferences. I enjoy my creative freedom. 

The interesting thing about my previous Tyroc is, I did look at the animated series for reference. If I did it "just" like in the animated series I wouldn't be redesigning anything then. Like I mention before I was creating something new, a bit more realistic. No offense intended to the hard core fans.

Bouncing Boy

30th century hero Bouncing Boy is the Legionnaire with the heart of gold and girth of a basketball. His sole power is the ability to inflate and bounce with amazing agility and resistance.

While working for a scientist on 30th Century Earth, Chuck Taine accidentally drank an experimental super-plastic fluid while watching a sports event. The fluid drastically altered his body, giving him the power to inflate into a spongy round shape that could bounce and ricochet without harm. Accidental interfering with the event, he quickly made his exit and decided to try out for the Legion of Super-Heroes. Chuck tried out twice for the team and was rejected both times. After defeating an electrical villain because he wasn't grounded, Chuck took the name Bouncing Boy and was invited to join the Legion of Super Heroes finally. His good humor and charming personality eventually led him to proclaiming himself Legion 'Morale Officer'.

I wish I knew the name of the artist for this beautifully painted background. I hardly changed anything on this one. I found it at eat3d.com. 

I wanted to stick to the original character design but at the same time I really liked what was done with the animated version. So I did my best to blend both into one.

Gazelle

Giselle Smith of Triton (one of Saturn's moons), was caught in an invasion wave of destroyer units when the Legion of Super-Heroes appeared to defend the population. In the shelter of the ski resort she was visiting at the time, Giselle was beaten by bullies because of her rare mutation enabling her to control her own metabolism. Saved by Invisible Kid, she later helped the Legion defeat the destroyer units; though afterwards she claimed that she hated the United Planets and the Legion, and only fought to save herself.
Next time she appeared, she had become a member of the United Planets Young Heroes, the UP's answer to the Legion - under the code name Gazelle. When the team failed, Gazelle realized she had been wrong about the Legion, and applied for a Legionnaires try-out. Out of four candidates - Gazelle herself, Night Girl, Turtle and Sizzle, Giselle was the only one to be admitted into the Legion core team on a full-time basis.
Gazelle possess the ability to manipulate her metabolism in order to achieve several effects, but most prominently boosts it giving her a substantial degree of super strength and speed. But she is also capable of slowing down her metabolism to such an extent that she enters a state akin to hibernation.

Element Lad

Real name Jan Arrah, a native of the planet Trom, he has the power to transmute chemical elements by touch. Element Lad is the last survivor of his race and a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. 

Element Lad first appears in Adventure Comics (vol. 1) #307 (1963). In this first story he is briefly known as "Mystery Lad" as the Legionnaires try to guess his superpower. Jan is the last survivor of Trom; with all of the planet's natives sharing Jan's abilities, the other Trommites had been massacred by the space pirate Roxxas for refusing to transmute valuable elements for him. Jan had only survived this genocide because he had been in space at the time.

With the aid of the Legion, Roxxas is brought to justice and Jan joins the Legion, using the codename Element Lad. He is a member of the Legion for many years, serving terms as leader and deputy leader. He is eventually linked romantically to Shvaughn Erin, the Science Police's Legion liaison, who herself first appeared in Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes #241 (July 1978). 

The BG a wall paper from the google results of space nebula. I toke the liberty to slightly redesign his icon/logo in his chest. One more legionnaire down a million more to go...

Tyroc

He first appeared in Superboy #216 (April 1976), and was created by Cary Bates and Mike Grell. Debuting a year before Black Lightning, he is one of DC's first black costumed superheroes. Tyroc's superpower was his reality warping screams, which he could use to create dimensional portals, force fields, transmute objects, freeze objects, burn objects or simply destroy them. He could also teleport himself and at least one other person, although the exact limits of this ability were unknown. The effects and range of his powers were consistent when he first appeared, but later seemed to vary with the writer. Later writers often treated his power as simply being a "sonic scream" similar to that of Black Canary. Tyroc could fly using either his own inherent powers (as seen in his first appearance before joining the Legion) or using his Legion flight ring. 

I went over and changed a few things on the original BG, it's called "Future City" by Robert Brown.

I was debating on doing Tyroc's original costume or the animated one James Tucker redesign for the show.

I ended up having fun character designing. And for the first time ever, I added a watermark so people knows where this artwork came from.

GL Rond Vidar

The Green Lantern Rond Vidar first appeared in Adventure Comics #349 (October 1966), and was created by Jim Shooter, Mort Weisinger and Curt Swan. He's the Green Lantern of the future. Sent to live with a family on Earth, Rond proved to be a genius at temporal theory. He created the Time Cube, a device which can transport its contents in time. The Time Cube later proved indispensable to the Legion, who used it to stop Universo from taking over the world. Soon the Legion made Rond an honorary member and he continued his research, collaborating on many experiments with the super-intelligent Brainiac 5. At some point in Rond's career, the Guardians of the Universe recruited him to be a covert member of the Green Lantern Corps, since Green Lanterns were banned on Earth at the time.

Yeah, as you may have noticed I added the mask. Just having fun with character designing. 
If he IS a covert GL, I thought what about the classic Green Lantern mask? It looked cool to me, so I left it alone, regardless than the original character doesn't wear one.

Light Lass

Ayla Ranzz, known originally as Lightning Lass also known as "Light Lass" is a super heroine in a future DC Comics universe. She is a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes and was ranked 47th in Comics Buyer's Guide's "100 Sexiest Women in Comics" list. There have been three versions of Ayla since her original debut; these versions are separated by the events of both the Zero Hour and Infinite Crisis limited series. 
In this version I've chosen to draw, after Dream Girl had a vision foretelling that Ayla's lightning powers would eventually kill her. Nura (Dream Girl) used her advanced science to change Ayla's powers to gravity nullification. Her new ability to make objects super lightweight led her to her code name Light Lass.  
Ayla Ranzz (of the planet Winath, where twinning is normal) first appeared in Adventure Comics #308, (May 1963). She is the twin sister of fellow Legionnaire Garth (Lightning Lad) and the younger sister of the villainous Mekt (Lightning Lord). All three gained their lightning powers after being attacked by creatures called lightning beasts on the "lightning world" of Korbal. 
I was inspired by my stunning friend Tara Rice for this particular pose, she is an amazing model, actress and host. I know the original character version has shorter hair, but I decided to give her a new hair style. That's why I thought Tara's image was perfect for this. 
I used and flopped the same BG from the Lightning Lad piece, originally done by the Gelmi Art Studio, I also had to tone it down so it blends with the animation style a little better.

Spider Girl

The character was first mentioned as a concept in the letters page of Adventure Comics when a fan suggested a character with the power of super-strong prehensile hair.

30th-century earthling Sussa Paka underwent gene-altering which allowed her absolute control over her long hair. Once a member of the Legion of Super-Villains, once a Legionnaire, once a thief, Sussa has a sticky past. 

Spider Girl formally first appeared as a failed Legion of Super-Heroes applicant.

She went on to join Tarik the Mute's underground academy for supervillains and later the Legion of Super-Villains.

During the Five-Year Gap run in Legion of Super-Heroes volume 4 (1989), Paka was written as a half-reformed thief with a crush on Legionnaire Ultra Boy.

She joined the adult Legion as Spider Girl, but when the team was outlawed by the United Planets, they went underground, changing their appearances and codenames, even wearing masks. In this storyline, occurring just prior to the Zero Hour reboot of the titles, Sussa changed her codename to Wave and dyed her hair blue.

The BG was made by artist Matt Luxton, of course I changed it a bit to fit my character better.
I'm still not 100% with her left side, I may revise it eventually fwi.

Proty

The origin of the Proty's race is given in Adventure Comics #334. Many centuries earlier a race called the Llorn colonized a planet in the Antares system that was inhabited by race of peaceful creatures. The two races managed to live in harmony until a passing star upset the ecological balance of the planet. The Llorn were forced to evacuate the planet. Before leaving, they used their advanced technology to alter the planet's natives into protoplasmic blobs that could change their shape to suit the environment.

Proty I is rescued from an alien menagerie by the Legion of Super-Heroes, and adopted as a pet by Chameleon Boy. The affectionate alien proves useful to the Legion, and becomes quite close to Saturn Girl, as her telepathic abilities allow her to read its thoughts.

Proty is replaced by Proty II, another member of their race. Proty II later becomes a member of the Legion of Super-Pets.

Sun Boy

The study of the history of the Legion of Super-Heroes inevitably leads to the study of many unusual superhero archetypes and attitudes. Whereas most teams consist of six or seven clearly defined characters, a group the size of the Legion has room for Wildfire’s snarkiness, for Dawnstar’s occasional narcissism, for the roguish charm of Ultra Boy, for Shadow Lass’ antisocial tendencies, even for Quislet’s complete disregard for convention. It also leaves room for your classic cocky womanizer, smart but not the smartest, charming but not the most so, certainly heroic but hardly a paragon. It’s kind of ironic that the Legionnaire with the smartest costume (one that lasted for over 40 years with virtually no changes) and the most heroic look is one of the most troubled and tragic LSHers of them all. This, then, is your Major Spoilers Hero History of Dirk Morgna of Earth… Sun Boy!

Sun Boy can internally generate a seemingly limitless amount of electromagnetic radiation, both heat and visible light. He is also immune to virtually all forms of heat and radiation (except when he was killed off during the "Five-Year-Gap" era).

Inferno

And right on cue for Burning Man, Inferno...it seemed like the right character to draw before the burn.

When I was looking to see what Legion of Super Heroes character I didn't draw yet, I came across Inferno. She looks like she could easily be a burner because of her outfit, and in top of it she has the power of fire. I can totally see a girl like this cruising the playa on her pimped out bike with hot rod flames. And yes I'll be at Burning Man, so no art for a while, sorry.

Inferno (alias Sandy Anderson of the planet Earth) is a superheroine in the DC Comics universe. The character is a former ally of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the future, but currently resides in the present day. Sandy has ability to generate and manipulate fire. Inferno was created by Tom Peyer and Jeff Moy. Inferno was not in the original Legion continuity, although she may have bases on a character named Beauty Blaze who created for the Legion of Super-Villains, but ultimately unused.

Andromeda

Laurel Gand, aka codename Andromeda, is a superheroine in the 30th/31st-century DC Comics universe, and a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. She was created as a replacement for Supergirl in post-Crisis on Infinite Earths Legion continuity. She was also inspired by elements of Superman's supposed descendant Laurel Kent.

Laurel Gand spent most of her life in a White Triangle community, being indoctrinated in the "horrors" of interspecies co-operation before the Triangle's political clout led her to become the Daxamite representative in the Legion. Generally, the abilities of Laurel Gand (and other Daxamites) are identical to those of Superman and other natives of the planet Krypton (super-strength; speed; flight; x-ray, heat, microscopic or telescopic vision powers; invulnerability and super hearing), with three major exceptions:

1. She is vulnerable to the inert element lead, instead of the radioactive element Kryptonite.
2. Lead poisioning is fatal to Daxamites, and Laurel is kept alive only through ingestion of anti-lead serum, such as the one modified by Brainiac 5.
3. In her two pre-Zero Hour incarnations, the radiation of a red star will not rob her of her powers, as it would with most Daxamites and Kryptonians.

I had to use the actual Andromeda galaxy for the BG, it seemed so perfect for this. I also used the real Andromeda galaxy for the uniform. Andromeda wearing Andromeda.

Triplicate Girl

Triplicate Girl (real name Luornu Durgo) is a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. She has also used the aliases Duo Damsel, Triad, Una, Duplicate Damsel, and Duplicate Girl and was ranked 33rd in Comics Buyer's Guide's 100 Sexiest Women in Comics list. Luornu Durgo, codenamed Triplicate Girl, first appeared in Action Comics #276, written by Jerry Siegel. A native of the planet Cargg, she could split into three identical bodies, as could all Carggites, due to the planet Cargg having three suns. Her costume consisted of a purple dress, orange cape and belt, and black boots. She was the fourth hero to join the Legion of Super-Heroes, and its first non-founder member. 

In later years of the first Legion continuity she served as an instructor at the Legion Academy along with her husband. She suffered the death of one of her two remaining bodies battling the Time Trapper after she took part in a conspiracy to avenge the death of Superboy, which had been caused by the Trapper.

Inspired by one of my new favorite artists, Otto Schmidt. (http://pinterest.com/andrewblodgett/art-otto-schmidt/)  I'm amazed no one hired Otto to design an animated feature or even a TV show yet. His art is phenomenal. 

The BG piece named Oil Rig Observation Outpost [UDk] was done by Disting. 
The more I design Legion characters, the more I would like to produce an animated TV series.

Timber Wolf

Timber Wolf (Brin Londo) is a superhero in the 30th and 31st centuries of the DC Comics Universe and member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. He comes from the planet Zuun. He first appeared in Adventure Comics #327 (1964) as Lone Wolf.

Brin gained his super powers from experiments conducted on the fictional element Zuunium by his father, Dr. Mar Londo. Originally, Timber Wolf was superhumanly fast and agile, but when the serum changed him into a wolf-like lycanthrope he gained claws, enhanced senses, the ability to heal quickly from injuries, and superhuman strength. As a byproduct of his wolfen form, he is often prone to outbursts of savage fury.

The background it's from a wall paper website. The artist, who remains unknown to me, did a great job coming up with a futuristic forest version. Perfect for Timber Wolf.

I apologize to The Legion of Super Heroes fans for not being able to produce Legion characters more often. I've been so busy with other important matters in life.

I'm glad I was able to finish this one right on time for Comic Con.

Lamprey

The amphibian character from the 30th century has been a longtime student at the Legion Academy. She possesses the power to survive underwater and direct bolts of bio-electricity. The young girl from the 30th century who would be come to be known as Lamprey started life as a normal Earth girl known as Tayla Skott. After her uncle performed less than legitimate experiments on her, she was anything but normal. Though the only goal of the experiment was to graft gills to a human being, Tayla  had in addition bright green skin and the ability to store and project electricity.   Wanting to use her powers for good, she tried out for the Legion of Super-Heroes. Lamprey, Crystal Kid and Nightwind trained with Wildfire.  She participated in training missions with the Academy until it closed. Afterwards, she moved on to teaching a new generation of galactic defenders at the United Planets Militia Academy.

BG, Underwater City by Mdimotta-d5byalt. It actually looks nothing like the original after I was done with the blur fx to achieve my goal. It was a lot of fun and very challenging to come up with an energetic water fx for the hair.

Shrinking Violet

Shrinking Violet (Salu Digby), also known as Atom Girl, is a superhero and Legion of Super-Heroes member in the DC Universe's 30th and 31st centuries. She comes from the planet Imsk. She was created by writer Jerry Siegel, the co-creator of Superman, and artist Jim Mooney. She has the power to shrink to tiny size, as do all Imsk natives. Originally, she could only shrink (down to subatomic sizes, if necessary). In the post-Zero Hour reboot, the Emerald Eye bestows her with Leviathan's power to grow to giant sizes as well. She's very smart and has a close relationship with Brainiac 5. 

I hope the blur fx depict the character using her abilities clear enough.

It's been a while since I had time to keep drawing Legion characters. Not only I was sick for some time, things got extra behind an crazy-er than usual over the Simpsons where I'm currently a character designer. None of that helped me on my never-ending quest of drawing every Legion character ever created. It feels good to get back into it and draw whatever the hell I feel like doing. Maybe that's why I felt like redesigning this character slightly different from the actual existent designs.

I modified the BG that was originally created by the talented Sebastian Schröder Inspired by concept art for Mass Effect 2.

Gates

Insectoid teleporter and member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Ti'julk Mr'asz was born on Earth-247 on the planet Vyrga, a jungle world of sentient insects. He was one of the planet's few free-thinkers among an otherwise conformist, hive-mind. He was also one of the few members of his race who manifested their latent power of teleportation. Ti'julk was given the names Gates and was "drafted" into the Legion of Super-Heroes. Gates has the latent, unrealized ability of his people to open teleportational discs which he can link together to make spatial doorways. Gates survived the Blight invasion of Earth. He went with the Legion to stop a tear in the space-time continuum where several Legionnaires were ultimately lost. After traveling back in time with a number of his teammates from the Legion of Superheroes, the remainder of the team (referred to as Legion Lost out of continuity) is on the trail of Alastor who threatens to release a virus which can destroy all of mankind.  After nearly stopping him in Minnesota the team travels to New York City in their continued attempt to track him. The BG Alien Jungle by Anne Ch Postma.

White Witch

Her real name is Mysa Nal, although her name was given as Xola Aq in Silver Age Legion stories in Adventure Comics; the revelation that her name was actually Mysa Nal was a later retcon. She is the sister of fellow Legionnaire Dream Girl and daughter of former High Seer of Naltor Kiwa Nal. Like Dream Girl, she is a native of the planet Naltor, where nearly everyone has the power of precognition; however, unlike most Naltorians, Mysa cannot foresee the future. To compensate for her inability to see the future, Mysa trained in the mystic arts on the planet Zerox, known as the 'Sorcerer's World' and became extremely powerful. 
She joined the Legion after helping them defeat Darkseid in the famous Legion story, the Great Darkness Saga.

I was inspired by Rosie Huntington Whiteley's gorgeousness. The BG it's from the site Wall Paper Pimper, I painted the crap out of it to make it look the way it does.

Firefist

A Khund warrior in the 30th century and temporary member of the Glorithverse Legion of Super-Heroes. His true name never revealed, Firefist was once a lowly warrior born on Khundia. He trained and fought ruthlessly within the Khund army and rose through their ranks, eventually reaching a status that made him eligible for cybernetic enhancements. Firefist branded himself as such for the extra firepower and guidance systems he installed upon himself. Firefist, alongside three other meta human Khund warriors, were assigned to work with the Legion of Super-Heroes when the Legion and the Khunds combined forces to take on Mordru. Firefist, alongside three other meta human Khund warriors, were assigned to work with the Legion of Super-Heroes when the Legion and the Khunds combined forces to take on Mordru. Firefist was deputized along with his allies as a good show for Khundia more than an actual desire to have him as a teammate. Firefist especially was boisterous and often insulted and challenged his fellow Legionnaires. He survived the first assault of Mordru's zombie forces but was ultimately separated from the Legionnaires with teammate Devlin O'Ryan, Reflex. The two were thrown by an attack into Mordru's castle, landing in his harem. Enraged by his defeat, Firefist was hardly in a good mood and lashed out at the girls in the harem who attempted to proposition him. The innocent Devlin jumped to the defense of the women, Firefist gladly taking that as a challenge to let out his anger. Firing his weapons to kill Devlin, Firefist was unaware of the boy's super power of energy reflection. Firefist's own blasts were mirrored right back at him, presumably killing him. 

After Devlin had left the scene and rejoined the Legion (as well as 'won' Veilmist from Firefist by defeating him in 'combat'), Firefist was presumed dead by the Legion. It was later revealed that he had been kept alive by his cybernetic systems. Though extremely damaged and missing many of his cybernetic parts, he was gradually repaired and put into service by the Khunds again. He participated in the Khundish murder of the villain Starfinger and later crossed paths with the Legion, hoping to get revenge on them for abandoning him. However, the Legion was able to escape thanks to the United Planets Militia Academy and Firefist was forced to retreat. He was last seen as part of a plot to destroy Weber's World, right before Firefist and the rest of the Glorithverse was wiped out of existence by the Zero Hour event. Veilmist

A Khund warrior and short term member of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the Glorithverse. Veilmist was born into a masochist world, where women were only for breeding while the men did all else. She had even been experimented on by her scientist father, giving her the ability of teleportation. A clever girl and one of the few Khund females to truly see the opportunity to rise from her rank, Veilmist decided to use her beauty and abilities to her advantage. Her latest husband had been Firefist, a cybernetic enhanced warrior in the Khund military. When Firefist was deployed by the army to assist the Legion of Super-Heroes in defeating Mordru's army of undead, Veilmist left with him. While most of her Khund teammates despised the Legionnaires and wished they could kill them, Veilmist was up to her old tricks and was quickly seducing the powerful male members of the Legion, especially Ultra Boy. Later, she offered to assist in collecting the bombs to save Weber's World if Ultra Boy would take her away from Firefist. Tired of her disloyalty, Firefist turned on his wife and shot Veilmist to death. Her date of death was marked January 2nd, 2996 and she was cursorily presumed dead by Brainiac 5 . I don't know who made the BG, I got it from alphacoders.com. It is a screensaver and I went over it to match my character.

Chameleon Boy

Chameleon Boy, or Reep Brande, was born on the planet Durla, he is the son of the wealthy R.J. Brande, who supports the Legion. Inspired by them, he left home after declining the offer to kill his brother, which was a ritual of his home planet. He joined the Legion through his dad, passing his audition with flying colours. He, unlike his dad, has the ability to become any living thing, changing his form and voice. He is a big fan of Superman. That's right, Chameleon Boy can change his body and cell molecular structure into any creature, person, or thing. He makes a great spy. Chameleon Boy was created by Jerry Siegel and Jim Mooney. He first appeared in Action Comics #267(August, 1960). The BG Alien Jungle is by Concept Colin, retouched it in photoshop myself.

Invisible Kid II

Real name Jacques Foccart, was the second to assume the name Invisible Kid.  

Invisible Kid is a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes, a super group based in the 30th and 31st centuries of the DC Universe. He's a genius in biochemistry and designed a serum to give him the ability to turn invisible. Much later when Brainiac 5 accidentally unleashed a murderous Computo, Jacques Foccart partook of Lyle Norg's invisibility serum to help stop it. The Jacques Foccart version of the Invisible Kid has made background appearances in the "Lightning Storm" and "Substitutes" episodes of the Legion of Super Heroes animated television series. The background, Laboratory Entrance by Sebastian Wagner. Modified and painted over, but of course.

I kind of like this costume better than the original design for Lyle Norg.
